Aer Lingus also offer the ultimate time saving service: pre-clearance of US customs! when booking an indirect flight from Britain to the USA on Aer Lingus you can fly either via Dublin or Shannon for the US pre-clearance customs service. This means that when you land in Dublin or Shannon and are waiting for your connecting flight you can clear US immigration, customs and agriculture controls - during peak times, to ensure there is enough time to complete U.S. Customs Pre-Clearance it is suggested to allow a minimum of three hours before your connecting flight. Once you land you no longer have to clear US customs, you can simply collect your bags and get on with your holiday!
