Day 1-4: Sri Lanka’s beautiful South Coast

On the first few days in Sri Lanka, your romantic honeymoon begins with an utterly relaxing three nights on Sri Lanka's South Coast. Enjoy hours of lounging on the sun-kissed shores of the Indian Ocean, or enjoy some snorkelling with the vibrant marine life found on Sri Lanka's South Coast. If you happen to be visiting between December and April, you are in luck as there are an abundance of boat trips to spot the migrating whales found offshore of Sri Lanka at this time.

Whilst on Sri Lanka's South Coast, why not enjoy a boat trip along the Kapu Ela River - where you can spot some native wildlife, or spend your days wandering the cobbled streets lined by old style colonial buildings, mosques and churches.

Days 4-6: Yala National Park

Next on your Sri Lanka honeymoon, visit Yala National Park where you will see a wealth of wildlife including elephants, crocodiles, monkeys and leopards! Enjoy a Jeep safari through Yala National Park where you can put your wildlife spotting skills to the test, then retreat to your luxurious resort, Chaarya Resort & Spa, where you can enjoy a dip in the pool or a tranquil massage at the spa.

Days 6-9: Tea Plantations

After exploring the wild Yala National Park, your Sri Lankan honeymoon will take you into the beautifully green and luscious Hill Country, surrounded by tea plantations and Paddy fields. Over the next few days, you will visit what is known in Sri Lanka as ‘Little England’; quaint towns with colonial style tea bungalows and beautifully perfected lawns. Enjoy boutique accommodations, where you'll be transported back in time to a slower paced life; take your time to enjoy the smells of the aromatic tea plantations, and the amazing sights over the valleys.

Days 9-13: South Coast Sri Lanka

The end of your Sri Lanka honeymoon will take you back to the Indian Ocean, where you’ll spend your final four nights in Sri Lanka in a lovely beachfront resort on the Sri Lankan South Coast. Enjoy stunning views of the Indian Ocean, relax and soak up the sun on golden sand beaches, or head into the local small towns where you can enjoy Sri Lankan culture to its fullest.
