Boston and San Francisco Twin Centre Holidays

Days 1 - 5

Boston is one of America’s most historic cities – you might have heard of the Boston Tea Party and Harvard? Boston is known for its amazing seafood, distinct New England Culture, and historic landmarks. On your first day in Boston why not spend the day getting some fresh air by strolling through Public Garden (America’s first botanical garden - 1837) and Boston Common (America’s oldest public park - 1634) – it is here you will also find the iconic statue of George Washington riding a horse. History buffs might also want to visit the Old State House or even walk the Freedom Trail if you’re really interested in Boston’s history. On day 2 it’s time to make like a Boston local and rent a kayak/ paddleboard/ sailboat (any kind of water-going vessel) and head out onto the Charles River – you will be able to see the Boston skyline and also be among the best of the best aka the Harvard Crew Team. After a morning of boating, you will have worked up an appetite so why not dine on some local Boston Seafood and Lobster rolls that can be found throughout the city. On Day 3 it’s time to make the drive out to Cape Cod (we will organise your car hire when you book); Cape Cod is an iconic New England beach with a lovely waterfront town that is full of charm and quaint shops/ cafes. This is a must-do whilst in Boston! Another must do whilst on your Twin Centre Boston and San Francisco holiday, and perfect for day 4, is driving out to Salam – made famous in in the 1600s during the Salam Witch Trials, the town is now an eery historic landmark that cannot be missed. On your final day in Boston be sure to check out Boston Harbour – a historically significant location that is now full of shops, restaurants, cafes and more!

Days 5 - 11

When you arrive in San Francisco you’ll head straight to your hotel on Fisherman’s Wharf – the most iconic spot to stay in the city. Fisherman’s Wharf is right on the Bay front, and you can see landmarks like the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island right from your hotel. On your first day in San Francisco, you’ll want to stroll down Fisherman’s Wharf to take in the sights – at one end is the Golden Gate Bridge and at the other is the iconic sourdough factory and restaurant Boudin Bakery. You’ll also want to see the iconic Falkirk Wheel – great for a photo opportunity! On day 2 in San Francisco, it’s time to hop on a bike (rented from along Fisherman’s Wharf) and ride over the Golden Gate Bridge to the town of Sausalito – a lovely town here you can have some lunch before catching the ferry back across San Francisco Bay to Pier 41. There are plenty of photo opportunities along the way so make sure to stop and take some! Once back at Pier 41, it’s just a short walk to the iconic Pier 39 where you will find restaurants, shops and the infamous California Sealions that sit below the pier! On day 3 in San Francisco, it’s time to head out of the city to Muir Woods National Monument where you will walk through a forest of the amazing California Redwood Trees! You can drive yourself here or we can pre-book a private/ shared tour for you. On day 4, it’s time to hop on a boat across the San Francisco Bay to Alcatraz Island – an eery but amazing historic landmark that is a must-vist whilst in the city. On your second to last day in San Francisco, catch one of the iconic cable cars to Union Square; once here you can admire the Dewey Monument, have some amazing food whilst catching a game on TV at Bartlett Hall, shop-till-you-drop at Westfield San Francisco Center and then hop on a cable car back to Fisherman’s Wharf. On your final day be sure to try some of the seafood being served along Fisherman’s Wharf and if you are up early enough you will be able to see the local fisherman on the piers catching the fish for the day!
