Hawaii Maui is beloved for its world famous beaches

The Hawaiian Island of Maui, often known as The Valley Isle, is the second largest Hawaiian Island and the perfect destination for your Hawaii holiday or honeymoon. When choosing which Hawaiian Island to visit for your Hawaii holiday it can be difficult to know what each island offers you could do an island hopping holiday but if you even want to limit yourself to just one (we highly recommend you don’t!).  Maui is beloved for its world-famous beaches such as the golden sand Makena Beach, the snorkel haven Kapalua Bay Beach, the beautifully blue Ka‘anapali Beach and the infamous Wailea Beach. There are many more hidden, famous and secluded beaches in Maui for you to enjoy! We highly recommend renting a car whilst in Maui, and this is something we at Charter Travel can do for you, so you can enjoy and explore the island of Maui at your own pace and leisure. Renting a car on Maui also allows you to complete the Road to Hana trip – which is one of the most stunning and unique road-tips in the world let alone Hawaii! The Road to Hana trip will allow you to see cascading waterfalls, bamboo forests, eat amazing local fruit and Banana bread, see the infamous black sand beaches of Hawaii and swim in natural pools fed by waterfalls!

Golf enthusiasts will also want to visit Maui and play some of the island’s championship golf courses! You could play the award winning Wailea Golf Club or try your luck at The Bay Course at Kapalua Golf Club. This golf course includes the only over-ocean hole and is something all golf lovers will want to experience! Foodies will also love Maui and will enjoy sampling all the local fresh fruit, food and drinks! The Hawaiian POG juice is truly one of a kind and you will love sipping on it on the beach! One restaurant food lovers have to experience is Mama’s Fish House at the end/ start of the Road to Hana – this place serves some of the best fish on the island but books up fast so be sure to ask us here at Charter Travel to secure you a reservation!

Snorkelling on your Hawaii holiday is a must and there is no better snorkelling in Maui, possibly even all of Hawaii, than at Molokini Crater and Turtle Town. Molokini Crater is a volcanic sister “island” to Maui and day trips to these two locations will allow you to snorkel in clear waters and see so much marine life including turtles and exotic fish. Helicopter tours over the Hawaiian Island of Maui are stunningly beautiful and will take you over the Hana Rainforest, Molokini Crater, the West Maui Mountains and to hidden waterfalls and beaches that are not accessible by land. This is a truly amazing way to see Maui and we highly recommend having this helicopter experience.

Maui is an amazing Hawaiian Island with something for everyone – from shopping in the beautiful town of Lahaina to whale watching tours taking you out into the Pacific to spot migrating humpback whales! Though, we really recommend pairing your trip to Maui with at least one other Hawaiian Island in order to make the most of your unforgettable Maui holiday.
