Sample Itinerary of Atlanta & Orlando Holiday

Atlanta and Orlando Two dynamic southern cities with all of the vibes, excitement and thrills of powerhouse destinations. Combine the amazing restaurants, Coca-Cola World, and nightlife of Hotlanta with the International Drive attractions of Orlando. You get a spectacular twin centre destination the whole family will love.

Days 1-7
Atlanta Start your holiday with a visit to Centennial Olympic Park. In 1996, Atlanta hosted athletes like Amy Van Dyken and Josh Davis, who led the world in gold medals. A terrorist attack during the Olympics killed one and injured 111 people. Today, the park is a beautiful place for summer concerts, people watching, and playing in the fountains.

With more than a million animals and aquatic creatures and 8 million gallons of water, the Georgia Aquarium is the largest aquarium in the world. See whale sharks, mantas, huge groupers and penguins. Walk through the tunnels with the aquarium surrounding you and overhead. Watch as otters and dolphins play. This aquarium offers many different activities for kids to enjoy.

The whole family will want to explore the World of Coca Cola. The number one soda in the world, this place is part museum, part art, part future and all fun. See relics from France to Zimbabwe here. The Coca-Cola theatre shows the fun of life in everyday pictures. Coke machines from coolers to early vending machines to soda fountains are displayed here. The tasting stations are a visitor favorite. Here you can taste over 100 different coke products from around the world. The ‘Beverly’ is the most popular. It is an aperitif from Italy, only available at the World of Coca Cola now.

Dinner at the Swan Coach House is dinner in a lovely southern mansion. Here you can enjoy swan trio timbales, fresh roses on each table and French silk swan desserts. Lovely and delicious. But in Atlanta, as well as the whole south, barbecue is king. Slow smoked, succulent meats, baked beans and buttered bread. For great authentic barbeque, Pit Boss is the place to be. Pork, beef, wings, and chicken as well as ribs, are slow smoked to perfection. Try one, or get a sampler plate for more great tastes.

When you just can’t eat one more bite of pulled pork barbecue and greens, pack your things for the second holiday home. Orlando awaits!

Days 7-14
Here in the Sunshine State, Orlando is a hub of activities. Mega-theme parks, fantastic restaurants and bars, amazing shopping and more…all located in one place. International Drive, also known as I Drive, is a loop road that hits all of the tourist hotspots. This 11-mile road has SeaWorld on one end and Universal Orlando on the other.

For optimal convenience, stay at one of the many hotels located along this road. Places like The Avanti are located on the International Drive. Clean, modern décor, a spacious pool with plenty of seating, a coffee bar, kid’s water play area, game rooms and gym- this resort has very nice amenities. Walk out the door and start shopping or exploring. Take a ride on the I Ride trolley to SeaWorld, just 3 miles away.

The Vista Cay Resort offers 2 and 3-bedroom condominium suites with full kitchens, balconies and living/dining areas. These suites are nice for families needing space and well-appointed amenities. Located 5 minutes from the airport and 4-miles from Universal Orlando and Wet N Wild waterpark, this resort is truly in the heart of things. It is adjacent to shopping, dining and all of the entertainments of International Drive. Just walk out the door for some fun.

While in Orlando, do not miss the Orlando Eye, a towering Ferris wheel with glass viewing cabins. Look all over Orlando, from the theme parks to Cape Canaveral on a clear day. This is an all-ages attraction, perfect for families with small children.
