San Francisco and New York Twin Centre Holidays

Days 1 – 6  

On Day 1 of your holiday, you will arrive in San Francisco where you check in to your hotel The Argonaut – a beautiful hotel housed within Fisherman’s Wharf historic Haslett Warehouse building. Your rooms could have views of San Francisco Bay, Alcatraz Island, and/or the Golden Gate Bridge…which can also all be seen outside the front of the hotel. On your first full day in San Francisco make sure you wake up nice and early and hop on one of the hotels complimentary bicycles and ride it down Fisherman’s Wharf, up and over the Golden Gate Bridge and to the small town of Sausalito where you can stop for some lunch before boarding the ferry back across San Francisco Bay to Pier 41. When you arrive at Pier 41 you can walk along for a few minutes to reach Pier 39 – it is here you will find shops, restaurants, and see where the infamous California Sealions like to sun themselves just below the Pier. On your 2nd day in San Francisco it’s time to head out of the city to Muir Woods National Monument – a forest full of some of the oldest Redwood Trees in California. This can either be an organised tour or a self-drive experience – our experts can help you decide what’s best for you and organise it all. Day 3 will take you across the San Francisco Bay to Alcatraz Island where you will be able to walk through the entire abandoned prison with an audio guide: this really is a must-do experience whilst in San Francisco. On Day 4 you can explore a bit more of the city of San Francisco by hopping on a Cable Car, located just outside your hotel The Argonaut, to Union Square where you can do some shopping at Westfield San Francisco Center, admire Dewey Monument, and visit the iconic Bartlett Hall. On your 5th day in San Francisco, you can visit other staple San Francisco landmarks such as the sourdough factory Boudin Bakery along Fisherman’s Wharf, the Palace of Fine Arts and the iconic Painted Ladies of San Francisco. On your final day why not try some of California’s most loved fast-food from In-N-Out Burger before heading to the airport.  

Days 6 - 10  

When you touch down in New York you’ll want to head straight to your hotel the Riu Plaza in Times Square. For the rest of your day, why not explore Times Square – go to the Hard Rock Cafe Times Square, visit M&M World and much more. On your 2nd day in New York City, why not stroll down Fifth Avenue and see some of New York’s most exclusive shops. You will end up in Central Park where you can wander through the vast green space in the heart of New York City. After this, why not hop into a Yellow Cab and drive across the Brooklyn Bridge and finish the day off with some authentic New York City Pizza! On day 3 you could catch a show on Broadway (be sure to pre-book your tickets to avoid disappointment), or take a scenic cruise down the Hudson River and see Manhattan’s Skyline. On day 4, if the cruise wasn’t enough, why not take a boat out to see the Statue of Liberty – and climb to the top if you’re feeling up for it! On your final day in New York you can really get in your shopping fix by visiting the SOHO district or even back on Fifth Avenue before heading home.
