Days 1 to 3

Travel from the United Kingdom on one of the direct daily flights on our partner airlines, British Airways, United or Virgin Atlantic. On arrival at Washington Dulles International, pick up your rental car and head towards the city centre to your hotel, the Hilton Washington. The hotel is finished to a very high standard, reflected in the guest rooms and suites, designed to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable, with the addition of an outside pool. The central location of this hotel make it ideal for exploring the vast range of attractions the city has to offer from the historic monuments to restaurants with menus from around the world.

Days 3 - 4

Your journey from Washington will take you through the Blue Ridge Parkway, showcasing spectacular views of the Shenandoah National Park. Arriving in Charlottesville your hotel, the Omni Charlottesville, located in the centre of town is the modern, luxury hotel that has fantastic large guest rooms, indoor and outdoor pools along with the option of dining at the hotel. Monticello home of Thomas Jefferson one of the founding fathers of the United States and is located just outside Charlottesville well worth a visit. Charlottesville itself is a quaint University town, home to the University of Virginia complete with a great range of restaurants, shops and tea rooms.

Days 4 to 6

Richmond is the third stop on your tour and your hotel the Hilton Garden Inn, is found in the centre of the city, within walking distance of the Capitol Building, an important site in the founding years of the United States. The hotel is chosen for its spacious modern rooms, and boasts an indoor pool and fitness centre. From here we recommend the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens, which host a collection of plants from around the world, set in beautiful gardens.

Days 6 - 7

Colonial Willamsburg is home to over 300 years of history, with a town centre that has been fully restored making you feel like you have arrived in the 18th century. Part of the trio of historic English settlements including Jamestown and Yorktown, these are the sites of the earliest British towns in the New World, offering an amazing insight into life for these early adventurers. Your hotel, the Clarion, is located close to the historic district and offers contemporary, large guest rooms with a range of amenities including a heated indoor swimming pool.

Days 7 to 9

Virginia Beach is your next stop and your hotel, the Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites, has a fantastic beach front location from where to explore the area. Your hotel comes complete with indoor pool and fitness centre and is close to a great range of restaurants and entertainment day and night. The city is host to the worlds longest pleasure beach, with a range of bars and restaurants to enjoy some fantastic food and watch the sunset over the Atlantic.

Days 9 - 10

Located in the heart of downtown Annapolis, this hotel provides a wide range of facilities to make your stay special. The large, modern guest rooms have been completed to a high standard, and it is a popular hotel with customers. Annapolis itself is a charming historic city and is built around a bustling natural harbour which has become the yachting capital of the Chesapeake Bay. A visit would not be complete without a tour of the bay on one of the many boat services that operate from the harbour. The range of restaurants and shops make it a fantastic place to relax and enjoy the food.

Days 10 to 12

Next on this self-drive holiday is the city of Baltimore, where you will be staying at the Residence Inn, a great base to explore this vibrant city. It is just a few minutes walk from the inner harbour, one of the oldest seaports in the United States, and home to a great range of restaurants and markets, with the National Aquarium hosting one of the largest collections in the world. The hotel itself has a range of suites which all include kitchen facilities and separate living areas, with modern spacious bedrooms.

Day 12

Return to Washington on your final day, drop your hire car off at the airport and board your return flight back to the United Kingdom.

"Many thanks for your effort in arranging the Disney holiday for us. It was superb and the accommodation, restaurant recommendations, location and everything else was spot on. We had a little hiccup with rental car collection, I thought it was downtown but it was on Magic Kingdom. Nothing in the scheme of everything else though.

We found the dining plan great and fitted in well with the family and in laws. California Grill on Mother's Day was great. The free visit back to view the Magic Kingdom fireworks at 10 that night topped off the day.

Wolfgang Puck have a gem in Downtown with an excellent counter serve. Recently opened. We stumbled on Raglan Road Downtown too. A lively joint with Irish dancing. Food was one of the best and kids got invited up for a jig too!

The weather was hotter than expected but we didn't complain. A little drop of rain on one morning and night so did well avoiding the storms I remember as a kid "
