This means that when you land in Dublin or Shannon and are waiting for your connecting flight you can clear US immigration, customs and agriculture controls - during peak times, to ensure there is enough time to complete U.S. Customs Pre-Clearance it is suggested to allow a minimum of three hours before your connecting flight. Once you land you no longer have to clear US customs, you can simply collect your bags and get on with your holiday!
