California Road Trips are especially memorable as there are so many beautiful places in California to see. For example, starting in San Diego would allow you to visit the infamous San Diego Zoo, some of the many interesting museums and also explore the beautiful parks and gardens. Heading north, your next stop could be in California’s Palm Springs where you would enjoy the city’s tranquil atmosphere: from the beautiful hidden waterfall tucked in the Tahquitz Canyon, to the many small boutique hotels offering relaxing and ‘off the grid’ experiences. Your next destination would be Los Angeles, the perfect place to celebrity spot, enjoy some shopping, walk the iconic pathway at Venice Beach, eat in some of America’s most famous restaurants like NOBU and, after a short drive, even relax on the beaches of Malibu. From Los Angeles you can also drive out to Santa Monica and see the infamous Santa Monica Pier, home to rides, restaurants, and fabulous views! Visits to LA are also the perfect opportunity to visit Disneyland California in Anaheim – Walt Disney World Orlando is a true favourite of our customers, and we highly recommend anyone visiting the LA area to spend a few days at Disneyland California and ride the iconic Disneyland Pixar Pal-A-Round (or Mickey’s Fun Wheel as it was formerly known).

Continuing north, your next stop would be the gorgeous Santa Barbara where you can try delicious fresh seafood at Stearns Wharf before checking into the oldest hotel in Santa Barbara, El Encanto, and relaxing in the wonderful infinity pool overlooking the sea and the incredible spa. Sticking to the coast, your next stop will be at San Jose but on your way, you will drive past the legendary Big Sur and the idyllic towns in Monterey Bay such as Pacific Grove, Carmel-By-The-Sea, Monterey and more as you head north. These towns are home to beautiful blue waters, quaint shops and restaurants and picture-perfect coastline that we highly recommend stopping at and enjoying for a few hours (or even days). After Monterey Bay your 2024/2025 California road trip will take you slightly inland to San Jose where you can check out the San Jose Flea Market for some unique finds (it is the largest of its kind in California). Whilst in San Jose you’ll want to stock up on some snacks as your next destination will be over 3 hours inland: Yosemite National Park! Yosemite National Park is full of iconic landmarks you’ll not want to miss: Half Dome is one of the best sights to see at the Yosemite National Park and can be viewed from many points, Yosemite Falls is another amazing part of the landscape that cannot be missed, and the lower 2 falls can be accessed easily by hiking, El Capitan is a third integral feature of Yosemite National Park that can be hiked (though only by those with experience!) or admired from afar and below. There are so many amazing things to see and do in Yosemite National Park that this portion of your 2023 California road trip may be the longest, but most beautiful, part. Finally, your California 2024/2025  road trip will come to a close as you head back out to San Francisco to see the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, visit the haunting Alcatraz Island, venture out to Muir Woods to see some of California’s oldest ad tallest Redwood trees, and even day trip to Napa Valley where wine lovers can sample some of California’s best wines!
