Holidays in Seattle flying on Virgin Atlantic offer a variety of things to do and see! Seattle is sometimes known as 'The Gateway Destination' as it is where many travellers fly into and begin their holiday before continuing up into Canada or driving down the Pacific Coast highway in California. Though Seattle itself has a lot to offer — for example the iconic Space Needle, offering you a fantastic view out over the city of Seattle. Seattle is also great for coffee lovers and is the home of the much-loved coffee chain Starbucks - though don't just sample some original Starbucks coffee, be sure to visit their local baristas and coffee artisans around the city too. Those who are fond of or interested in in the NFL could also catch a Seattle Seahawks game. Though staying within Seattle city limits would be a shame as the city is surrounded by so many beautiful outdoor landscapes - hiring car and heading up into British Columbia, Canada is a popular Twin Centre Fly-Drive holiday completed from Seattle. You could drive to Canada on the Sea to Sky Highway - a road that rivals the Pacific Coast Highway for beauty; once you have crossed the border into Canada you have so many options, from here you could head over to Vancouver Island or you could continue driving up into Whistler and even through the Rocky Mountains all the way through Banff to Calgary if you wanted! In Whistler there are loads of luxury accommodations to choose from including the Fairmont Chateau Whistler and the Four Seasons Resort. The luxury continues the further you drive into the Rocky Mountains as you could stay at the iconic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise with stunning views out over Lake Louise! In Calgary you could check-in to the Hyatt Regency Calgary and be sure to check out one of the infamous Rodeos before flying home.
Seattle to California holidays are also popular; this will take you on a drive through Washington State to Portland, Oregon where you can visit the Columbia River, stroll around Washington park, get a stunning aerial view of the city on the Portland Aerial Tram and much more. Throughout your drive to San Francisco, California you will drive through many national forests full of beautiful walks, hikes, and scenery. Once in San Francisco you could get on the road again and head out to Yosemite for a couple of days, staying at Yosemite Valley Lodge, before driving back to catch your Virgin Atlantic flight home. Depending on how much time you have, if you really want a true USA road trip experience you could even drive down to Los Angeles along the Pacific Coast Highway where you will see Monterey, Pismo Beach, Big Sur, Santa Barbara and more before arriving in Los Angeles.
