Nights 1-4: New York City
Welcome to the city that never sleeps! After landing in New York, head over to the Holiday Inn Times Square for your 4-night stay. The hotel is centrally located, and you'll be just steps away from some of the most iconic landmarks, Broadway Theatres, and shopping districts in the world.
Start your first day with a visit to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Enjoy a leisurely stroll around Battery Park, take in the views of the skyline, and hop on a ferry to Ellis Island. End your day with a visit to Times Square, the epicentre of the city's energy, with its neon lights, towering billboards, and bustling crowds.
On day two, explore the Empire State Building, one of the most famous buildings in the world. From the observation deck on the 86th floor, you can get panoramic views of the city skyline. Then head over to Central Park, a sprawling oasis of greenery in the middle of the city. Rent a bike or take a carriage ride and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
On day three, why not visit the Museum of Natural History – the perfect place for the whole family to enjoy!
On day four, why not enjoy some retail therapy with shopping in SoHo, or take a stroll through the trendy neighbourhood of Greenwich Village and find some boutique stores and coffee shops.
Nights 5-7: Boston
After exploring New York, catch the AMTRAK train to Boston and check into the historic Park Plaza Boston for your 3-night stay. This hotel is located in the heart of Boston, and you'll be just steps away from some of the city's most famous landmarks, including the Boston Public Library, the Freedom Trail, and the Boston Common.
On day six, explore the Freedom Trail, a 2.5-mile path that takes you through 16 historical sites that tell the story of the American Revolution. Visit the USS Constitution Museum and learn about the history of the American Navy. In the evening, take a stroll through the North End, Boston's Little Italy, and enjoy some authentic Italian cuisine.
On day seven, visit the Museum of Fine Arts or the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. In the afternoon, go shopping on Newbury Street, or take a leisurely walk along the Charles River.
Nights 8-11: Cape Cod
After exploring Boston, you’ll drive to Cape Cod, and check into the Cape Codder Resort in Hyannis for your 4-night stay. This beachfront resort is a perfect place to unwind and relax, with its beautiful views, indoor and outdoor pools, and spa.
On day nine, visit the Cape Cod National Seashore, a 40-mile stretch of unspoiled coastline. Take a scenic drive along Route 6A and visit the charming villages of Sandwich and Brewster. In the evening, enjoy a seafood dinner in one of the local restaurants.
On day ten, take a ferry to Martha's Vineyard, a picturesque island famous for its stunning beaches, lighthouses, and quaint towns. Rent a bike or take a guided tour and enjoy the scenery. Note, though its name would suggest otherwise, there are no actual vineyards on the island!
On day eleven, visit the charming town of Chatham, famous for its quaint shops, galleries, and restaurants. Take a seal-watching cruise or go on a whale-watching tour and see the ocean’s most majestic creatures up close.
Nights 12-14: Maine
After enjoying then stunning scenery of Cape Cod, drive to Maine and check into the Sebasco Harbor Resort, where you’ll stay for 3 nights. Located on the coast, this resort offers stunning views of the ocean and easy access to outdoor activities such as paddleboarding! This is the perfect family resort in Maine!
Take a hike through Acadia National Park, which offers some of the most beautiful views in the country. Visit the charming towns of Kennebunkport and Camden, where you can stroll along the harbour and enjoy fresh seafood.
For a more adventurous activity, try kayaking or paddleboarding along the coast. And, of course, no trip to Maine would be complete without indulging in some delicious lobster – you could even take a lobster boat tour as there are several companies that offer tours of lobster fishing operations!
Departure
On the final day of your family USA holiday, check out of the Sebasco Harbor Resort and make your way to the airport for your direct flight home with one of our airline partners, such as Virgin Atlantic or British Airways.
