Sample Itinerary of Rocky Mountains & Banff

Days 1-3

Choose between one of our many preferred airline partners; Virgin Atlantic, British Airways and Air Canada offer a direct, non-stop service, whereas United, American Airlines and Delta Airlines all offer an indirect service with one change en route in each direction.

Upon arrival into Vancouver, make your own way to the Rosewood Hotel Georgia located in the heart of the city centre of Vancouver. This elegant 1920s hotel has been luxuriously renovated to the highest of standards. Facilities include a swimming pool, spa, fitness centre, 2 restaurants and 2 bars.

Your holiday in Vancouver will include visits to all of the major attractions including Stanley park, English Bay, the Capilano Suspension Bridge, Gastown and Granville Island.

Days 3-4

Today you will head east through the Okanagan Valley, known for its picturesque vineyards and charming orchards, before stopping at Kalamalka Lake for the perfect picture opportunity, then on to Vernon where you will be stopping for the evening. Head towards the Prestige Hotel found on Highway 97 across from Vernon Square shopping centre, an ideal location with shops and restaurants close by. The hotel features a swimming pool, hot tub and fitness centre for your enjoyment.

Days 4-6

As you continue your journey east, you will be driving along the Okanagan Valley providing you with spectacular views, then on to Craigellachie, the point where the famous Last Spike was used to connect Canada by rail from coast to coast. Carry on through the monumental Rogers Pass and Kicking Horse Canyon before arriving in Banff for your two night stay. Make your own way to the Fairmont Banff Springs, located in the heart of Banff National Park, a stunning hotel with an unforgettable backdrop. Facilities include 12 restaurants and lounges, 2 golf courses, a world class spa and much more.

Days 6-7

Today will be an unforgettable experience as you travel along the world famous Icefields Parkway with its breath-taking scenery. Stop off briefly at Lake Louise for a photo opportunity before continuing on to the Columbia Icefield for a snowcoach ride on the Athabasca Glacier and then on to Jasper for an overnight stay. Make your way to the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge found on the shores of Lac Beauvert and only 5 minutes drive from the centre. The hotel offers some fantastic facilities to include a swimming pool, golf, canoeing, horse riding, white water riding and many more.

Days 7-8

Begin today by heading west to Prince George via Mount Robson, just sit back, relax and take in the incredible scenery along your journey. You will be overnighting in Prince George, so make your way to the Coast Inn of the North Hotel found in the heart of the gateway to the north. This is a luxurious hotel with a wealth of facilities.

Days 8-9

Continue your journey today along the Yellowhead Highway, through dense forestland and rugged landscapes. You will be visiting Fort St James National Historic Park a chance to experience the days of fur trade before travelling on to Smithers. Tonight you will be staying in the beautiful Hudson Bay Lodge nestled between the majestic mountains of the Bulkley Valley, only minutes from the downtown shops and restaurants.

Days 9-10

Today you will be returning along the Skenna River towards the Pacific Ocean, stopping at the Ksan Indian Village - a reformation of an ancient traditional community of the Gitxsan First Nation people, before continuing on to Prince Rupert for a short tour. Then head to the Inn on the Harbour where you will be staying for the night. This hotel offers a fantastic central location only minutes from the local shops and attractions, with views overlooking the port of Prince Rupert.

Days 10-11

Get your camera ready for a day of spectacular views. You will be cruising through the magnificent Inside Passage with some fascinating costal landscapes, through to Port Hardy on Vancouver Island. Once on the island head towards the North Shore Inn, located in downtown Port Hardy within easy reach of the local amenities.

Days 11-13

Your journey will continue along Victoria Island, past many picturesque logging and fishing villages dotted along the way. You will be stopping briefly at Chemainus with its remarkable collection of outdoor murals telling the story of the local history and culture, before reaching Victoria, a beautiful city which is the capital of British Columbia. Upon arrival, enjoy a familiarisation tour before heading to your accommodation for the next two nights. Here you will be staying at the Marriott Victoria Inner Harbour, ideally located in downtown Victoria within walking distance to all the major attractions.

Days 13-14

Begin today with a visit to Butchart Gardens renowned for its stunning floral displays, and then take a ferry across to Vancouver. Head towards the Shangri-La Hotel Vancouver for your final night where you will get the chance to stay in total luxury. This is a world class hotel with a perfect location nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the Coast Mountain Range, minutes away from the local attractions.

Day 14

Enjoy your final morning of your holiday in Canada at your leisure, maybe for a bit of sightseeing before heading off to the airport for your late afternoon flight back to the UK.
